A Path of Presence and Awakening
"Grace—defined by Webster as ‘unmerited divine assistance’—carries a quality of transcendence, pointing beyond the ordinary to something sacred and transformative."
With hearts rooted in the spirit of Grace—a divine presence that transcends merit, preference, or effort—we open to something greater. Grace is universal in nature: boundless and impartial, quietly at work in the world and within all living beings. It cannot be claimed or controlled; it simply is—ever-present, abundant, and freely given. It is God’s action moving through the world, independent of recognition or worthiness.
And yet, despite its universal constancy, there are moments when Grace becomes deeply personal. We may find ourselves suddenly flooded with new life, unexpected love, or profound peace—experiences that lift us beyond our struggles. In such moments, it feels as though the Divine has stepped down to meet us where we are, gently lifting us into a greater presence. Not a hand up—but a resurrection.
This experience of personal Grace is known across many traditions. In Christianity and Judaism, it is received as an intimate gift of divine love. In Zen, it may arrive as a moment of Satori—a sudden flash of awareness. In Dzogchen, it reveals itself as the radiance of Rigpa—pure awareness shining through.
As we evolve spiritually, we begin to recognize these movements of Grace not as coincidences, but as invitations. Whether through sincere effort, deep intention, quiet availability—or through no effort at all—we become more attuned to the nearness of the Divine. There may be moments so luminous that we hesitate to move, afraid we’ll lose the light. Yet it is precisely in that tenderness, in that reverence, that we touch something real.
Rooted in Grace, our lives begin to transform—not always outwardly, but profoundly within. We grow in our longing for truth, justice, forgiveness, and healing. We become vessels for divine love, guided by something far greater than will alone. It is Grace that moves us forward, step by step, toward our true nature and purpose.
If we are sparks of divine light, veiled by layers of karmic shadow—like diamonds buried in coal—then our task is to liberate each spark, with devotion and patience. Yet the full brilliance of that diamond, both personally and collectively, cannot be uncovered without further divine assistance.
The Path of Grace is lit by the quiet knowing that a spiritual abundance exists—always available to meet us at the edge of our next step. Personal Grace cannot be summoned; it can only be received. And when it comes, it is never too late.
Let us continue on this path—this new chapter—with confidence, with courage, and with deep gratitude. Let us cultivate our connection to Grace with joy and reverence. Let us walk and practice in love, together.
May this season mark the beginning of Living Grace.
May your journey be blessed with Divine Presence.
And may the light within you shine even more brightly—for the world awaits it.
May we walk forward in Grace, rooted in Presence, and open to the continual Awakening of the Light Within!
